Oh, I think, I´ll try to get one of the X-mas tickets in the next days. Got one last year and then the whole lim. package was even cheaper than the normal ticket in the end.
Am not very excited to know the "special gimmick" though, considering Holger´s sense for surprises but well... ;) The ticket CD of last year also wasn´t so good in my opinion, I put it onto my wall now.

Damn!! So you were very near to my tent and we didn't meet!! Maybe next year :) Will you come again to Rock Machina (if it's celebrated)?

btw, has someone ordered the x-mas special ticket?

You were THAT close?!?!? :D too funny!

I didn't end up going to Rock Machina because most of the bands were already playing at Wacken.

I went to Pitea (in northern Sweden) for the Pitea danser och ler festival to see Sonata Arctica and Morifade. SA is one of my faves and it was the only chance I had to see them while I was in Europe.

A group of aussies still went. I'll see about next year. There are too many 'depends' at the moment.

I think I won't buy the special limited editiod ticket thing this year. For me it's not clear we go to wacken next year like we did this year.(this al about personal reasons) Although Wacken was great the last 2 years I went it really depends on the people who go next year and on the bands who come.
But, hey, don't worry. This is only what I think at the moment, i am sure that in about a couple of months I will think completely different about it.

I'm not sure wheter I go to Wacken or not next year. I had a good time this year and saw several brilliant performences like Angra, Savatage, Borknager and Kreator. I've got some mayor plans for next year's Summer in which a lot of money is involved. But perhaps I'm able to find a niche and I'll go to Wacken next year. Never say never :D

I'm waiting to see who palys. Wacken is a lot of fun and has a great atmosphere and everything, but hell, at the end of the day the bands are the main reason to go! So I'm waiting to see the line-up first. Last summer I bought the ticket on Friday at the supermarket because I wasn't sure I was going up until the end. I'll do the same this year (unless they limit the ticket sales, in that case I'll buy it in advance, but certainly not before finding out who is playing...).

You're right. Imagine that Bon Jovi is the headliner for next WOA. :D

Anyway, I know that Ingo is a fan of 80's thrash metal, so maybe we'll have Death Angel, Testament or Flotsam & Jetsam

Hey S&L, last year I was on my own at Wacken and I had a blast as well! This year we'll have to meet for a few beers together! I'm camping next year (camped in 2000 and 2001, stayed in hotel in 2002, comfortable and "dry" but not as fun...).

Yes, we must meet!! Although I'm not sure if I'll be in forumcamp next year, because I may go to Wacken with more people from Spain, but I'll make many visits to the forumlers (to the nice people I met last WOA, to the nice forumlers I wanted to meet but I didn't and to the new forumlers-generation!! :))

btw, Holger said that he'd come back from holydays in late september. Not many time left to the first bands confirmed!! (last year, in late october, a bunch of about 10 bands were confirmed)
