Helllooooo everyone. God I am so bloody slow I've only just noticed this.
Hm anyways, I was at Wacken '02 and loved every single minute. However I came with the evil Ryanair and so I was wondering if anyone from the London area (well anywhere in the uk really)had any bright ideas as to the best way to get to Wacken next year.

oooh one more question - it is a long shot, but does anyone here know much about the tokyo metal scene?

Hey everybody,

I just read on the homepage of the site that "the first bands are confirmed now". Who are they?!? I know about Stratovarius, but who are the other confirmed bands so far?!?

I think the info you read is from last year (if it is the text under the wacken x-max ticket offer)
I have not heard any rumours of other bands confirmed as yet ....think its a bit too early still ....hopefully we will start seeing some confirmed bands in a few weeks maybe

ordered my ticket already ;)

I guess so...I thought it was strange as well, because I hadn't heard or read anything about other bands besides Stratovarius. I was thinking of buying my ticket as well, but then what if they come up with a poser edition of Wacken with just shitty bands? I know it's unprobable, but there's always the risk...I'm really not in Stratovarius, so I think I'll wait awhile...

yeah i know what you mean ....but i dont think that will happen
ok we ...well a lot of people want more black metal ...and we will be dissapointed yet again ..probably :) c'mon DARKTHRONE (i read they will play 2 or 3 big shows next year and want to stay out of concert halls so ...who knows ? maybe asking too much i know

I think we will certainly see some great bands added to the line up , i think that one of the organiser guys is into his 80's thrash metal so i am hoping for Dark Angel .....but i would say at least ...maybe more of the reason i go to Wacken is the whole "Wacken Spirit" not just the bands

lets just hope they can keep the metal spirit of Wacken alive

naaaaa keep them in German!!! I reckon if I can read them, ANYONE can! :)
Besides I get really tired of people who go to other countries and don't make any effort at all to learn even the most basic of phrases. I think it is just plain rude! grrrrrrr

one question, why always talk about about power metal like it is a disgrace or something.

Power metal is good in my opinion, and I met fellow-countrymen and they were quite drunk.

Next to my tent I had russians or was it polish, ah well east europeans and they drunk a lot of booze and some beers.

They seemed to have fun but they were very drunkahd fun but I wonder how they would have been without the vodkas and so.
