She's 18. She has lot of money so that would be covered, but I don't think she's ready. She thinks that after few months (after the baby being born) she can already go out with friends. Also she has been with her boyfriend about 3 months or so.

That's not going to happen..

Baby = so much stress.. NO sleep and if she has only been with him for 3 months probably no help either. For the first 6 months she will be lucky to have 2-3 hours of sleep a night (not all at once either) the baby will wake up every 2 hours or less to eat. She could pump but then someone will have to be up with the baby (either mom or dad or a helper) It's NOT a fun time for even older parents who are well prepared.

She will be lucky if she has enough energy to go out after a year never mind 3 months. Encourage your friend to do some research on what it involves. Also, forget having any career or going to university unless you have someone to babysit all day/night.

Babies are a pain in the ass, they do nothing but mooch and suck the life from you for years as well as preventing you from having any kind of social life and or even finding a good husband eventually because most guys don't want to date a girl who already has kids. At 18 the trouble far outweighs the benefits.

Yeah she's already "whining" about feeling nauseous and stuff. What about when the baby cries night and day and she can't sleep. I remember my mom telling me when I was sick, she had to "stay up" at least for a whole day. She had to keep me in her lap and just sit. Just one example of how hard it is.

She doesn't really seem to understand what he would have to give up and so on. Like you said she couldn't go out for long time. I've known her for years and I know that she couldn't stay home all the time. She can't just make her boyfriend take her of the baby all the time and having a nanny or something is quite expensive.

Her boyfriend also doesn't have a permanent job, which is a big problem if they're gonna keep the baby.
