The day before, on his May 3 show, Limbaugh observed that the American troops who mistreated Iraqi prisoners of war were "babes" and that the pictures of the alleged abuse were no worse than "anything you'd see Madonna, or Britney Spears do on stage."

Yeah, let America's finest let off some steam. You won't see Rush Limbaugh going off the air anytime soon anyway.

Vice President Cheney endorsed the Fox News Channel during a conference call last night with tens of thousands of Republicans who were gathered across the country to celebrate a National Party for the President Day organized by the Bush-Cheney campaign.

Fox News styles its coverage as "fair and balanced," but it has a heavy stable of conservative commentators that makes it a favorite around the White House. It is unusual for a president or vice president to single out a commercial enterprise for public praise.

Two days ago Powel (!) told, that US troop will leave Iraq al soon as they have a new government and that government wants them to leave. Yesterday Bush said, that US troops will stay in Iraq, till he sees no more thread from there. American Army is still here in Germany since the end of WWII. So "till there is no more thread" means something like forever.

I have to concur with LooseCannon on this.....

OUR COUNTRY HAS GONE TO SHIT!!!!

I saw the video footage of the young man who was beheaded by his captors. They SAWED his head off...not the clean swipe of a sharp blade... I sat at my computer and cried, hearing his screams until they were cut off by the blade that was saw/slicing through his airpipe and esophogus. Feeling the anger and pain that his parents are feeling against Bush and the government are way justafiable. The State Department were telling them one thing and they were hearing other things via the Media, up to the point where the mother got to digging around and started finding out that she was getting 2 different stories (of course), and started doing the math to put all the facts together and then she and her husband have been reaming out the President and his Staff without benefit of lube or kisses (which they don't fucking deserve in the first fucking place), so now Bush is holding his hands over his ass to protect his now officially used ass and saying that the killers responsible will be hunted down and dealt with.

Too Little Too Late, I say.

Hell people from asia were allways known for their brutality to the hostages. I havents seen it but this was one of the most merciful death penalty that they able to do. They used to stake people also.
