we have English which is the "official" language, then hip hop ebonics as #2, southern states "english" or as they call it "I speak American"..lol ,

The US itself (as a nation) has NO official language.

I don't know about MI, but for instance NY or MA have no official language.
I got my green (tourist) card in Dutch when I entered the US. (Cause I have a Dutch passport)
