I found Flens also in Lower Saxon as well. Depends where you are going to, I reckon.

A good beer, imho is Duckstein. But I find it hard to get, and rather expensive. (€2.50 a bottle)
It was in Hildesheim where I bought it.

Here in Kiel it's easier and cheaper to get. Afaik it comes from somewhere here around. But no matter, the best beers are Flensburger and Dithmarscher.

So far in my experience, nothing is worse than that no-brand beer that's been sitting in the sun for ages and it's so hot the bubbles burn your mouth and it just yuck! It made beer-pong not fun
