Does anyone have a rough idea of how much in total it'll cost me to get from Lubeck Airport to Wacken. There are a few prices scattered about, but how much are the trains etc.?

Thanks c:.

EDIT: Okay, so I can probably work out most myself, but how much is it from Altona to Itzehoe?

€10.70 by regional trains, ad an extra 5€ for IC trains.

No difference if it is HH-Hauptbahnhof or HH-Altona. (hh=Hamburg)

Get a ticket and then a train to Itzehoe. Unfortunately, these do not seem to run all day, so....you go to Altona. Read on..

I'm not going to Wacken till next year (2008) but how do people normally go if they are coming from Denmark, driving-wise? I will be just coming off a month-long scandinavian adventure and will be pretty damn tired...should i just fly into Hamburg??

I think that depends on where you are coming from in Denmark, are you on one of the islands or in the part that is connencted to Germany.
If you are near Copenhagen, I think it is easier and faster flying there.
If you are on the part that is connected to Germany, driving is probably best.

But keep in mind that Denmark does not have many highway's.

My itinerary is still being formed, but chances are I will still be coming from Copenhagen. Thanx for the info

I drove from Fredrikshavn, pretty much highway/autobahn the whole way.

From Copenhagen you can drive easily to Rödby, get the ferry to Puttgarten and then drive from there.

Just get a "car map/atlas" over Europe, it worked great for me.
Or get a GPS for cars with direction, then you "can't" go wrong :p
