I will be renting a car either in Hamburg or Berlin, so I will be doing the park and camp thing. So what Agresionpower is saying is you can get in as early as Monday the 27th? I am very interested in this piece of intel. what is the extra fee? is it paid at the gate?

€20 for Monday, and €10 for Tuesday.
Payable on arrival at the gate. You'll get a wristband saying "Du bist zu früh! ".

That's excellent!! I will most certainly be early! Getting a couple of days get established and to party in campground before show even begins will be great!

Before you get confused, it's not €30, but maximum €20. Unless they decide to raise the price again.

Hell, even if they raise the price it is still cheep, I will be travelling anyway paying for hotels, hostels and other accommodation which is much more then 10 euros per night. Getting to go to Wacken early will save me money.... Wait there is the party factor to consider, and I do love drinking excessively large volumes of beer. okay so no money will be saved, but the extra party days will be more than worth it. Are any of the food and beer venders open yet, or will I have to venture into town?

If it's beer you love, then the only way money won't be saved is if you drink 60L of beer per day I don't know about the site itself (I've always gone on a Wednesday, but maybe one day I'll arrive early), but the supermarkets in town are very close, and much cheaper than anything on site

And, you have a bigger choice of beers instead of the Beck's in the infield.

yes there will be food and beer, and you can always go to the supermarket in town.
or, since you're going by car, just bring your own stuff.
