New lesson: How to swear in German!

Well, I´ve got some nicer words for a change, some ways to say "I love you" in different languages (tried to find most of the forum-users´ languages...; please correct me if I´m wrong) for all those of you who meet their metallic complement in Wacken (even if that might be a quite strong expression after 3-5 days...)! Here we go...

Icelandic: ég elska þig
Dutch: Ik hou van jou
Estonian: Mina armastan sind
Italian: Ti amo
Norwegian: Jeg elsker deg (pronounced: yei elsker dei)
German: Ich liebe dich
Spanish: Te quiero
Elven: Amin sinta lle
Portuguese: Eu te amo
French: Je t'aime
Danish: Jeg elsker dig
Klingon: qud'end
Japanese: Aishiteru (there are many translations, I chose the easiest)

Mmh, that´s enough for now, I think...
Let´s hope, you will rather need these words than the baaad ones

@Wackianne - I would have provided a gaelic translation.. but the language is just too damn complicated. And swiss german couldn't do any phrase justice, least of all that one. oh well.


To give this entry credence, here's some more japanese

watashi wa anata no teki -I am your enemy.
kore wa watashi no kome yo! - THIS IS MY RICE!
Damare! - Shut up!
anata wa utsukushii -You are beautiful

please all bear in my japanese is terribly underdeveloped. Some of this may be slightly incorrect. Not to mention a bit rude.

In order to find a metallic complement in Wacken I'll add some alternative expressions:

- I was homosexual until I saw you: "Ich war homosexuell, bis ich dir sah"

- You have such beautiful eyes that...... that I'd love to take you to my tent (this one is too difficult to translate for a newbie like me)

Just one slight correction in the first sentence; "dich" instead of "dir"!
The second one runs as follows:
"Du hast so schöne Augen, dass...... dass ich dich am liebsten mit in mein Zelt nehmen würde!" (romanticism in wacken )

Hmm, I just found a gaelic translation for ILY on a kind of ILY site:

What does it mean? Is it a suiited curse?

I havent seen many Elves, Klingons and Japanese on this forum yet

The Dutch is right but I think that would indeed be a bit too strong expression

I know there are TONS of mistakes in there... I just spelled the words how I would pronounce them... and yes I do also know that I would pronounce most of the words wrong.. but I guess you get what I mean, don't you??
