No pido mucho, ¿no?

Hole gente!

Al fin tengo algo de tiempo ahora. A ver:

Españoles, can someone of you tell me how to write "Kalimucho" correctly? Is it Kalimucho, Calimucho, Calimocho, Kalimotxo or something else?
And btw, does some one know what "5L or 3L Metalkatxi" is? A 5 or 3 litre bucket with Kalimucho? Or Sangria? Or wtf??? :D :D

Hi Lucretia!

As far as I know, it is spelled "kalimotxo" and as for the "metalkatxi", I have no fucking idea about its meaning, at least in the area where I live we do not use the word "katxi" but it seems to me that someone living in the basque country could tell you because it sounds like basque...Sorry for not being very helpful...

Kalimotxo or Calimocho..... It's the same, but Kalimotxo sounds more basque and therefore more evil :D

One Katxi is just a recipient for alcoholic beverages (normally beer or Kalimotxo), but that word is only used in the Basque Country and maybe in Navarra. As far as I know it's 1 litre recipient, but maybe it could be bigger, I don't know.....

In Madrid it's called "Mini" (although there's place for 0.75 or 1 l.) and in other places it's called just "Litro".

okay, thanks - I´ll write Kalimotxo then :D :)

Probably that 3 or 5 l Katxi is something special because its bigger than ususal? :D I don´t know, someone send me that info for a pub in Barakaldo - so it seems to be Basque, indeed...

no worries, I do understand German quite well :D :p
Its only small parts all the time, so I guess its faster to ask my dictionary or so - but if there is really something difficult I might get back to you, thanks! ;)

but now again I´ve got a question: What does "varas" mean? Those guys from Nicaragua are always telling me about really strange addys, its always stuff like "del hospital militar 3 cdrs. al lago, 100 vrs al oeste." or "de Plaza Inter 2 cdrs. sur y 15 varas al oeste"

The big dictionary I´ve recently bought doesn´t help either.

Don´t they have street names in Managua!!?!?!

oh, actually they don´t

there can't be a more tourist-unfriendly capital than MANAGUA ... - in fact, most visitors are so disturbed by the lack of street names or any real centre to the city that they get out as fast as they can...

Wow! Intenteresting fact.. I didn't know that.

I think this guy is using the word "varas" as we use the word "blocks"... that's the only thing I can think of
