Had a bottle of Innis & Gunn bitter the other day. Best beer I've had in a long time. Recommended!

The regular one, haven't seen the lim.ed. around. Sounds like it could be worth tracking down a few bottles, though.gnoff schrieb:Was it from Systembolaget?

I like the limited edition one more, the taste is a lot more balanced. But the original is very special also.

gnoff schrieb:1) Super Bock - Portugal, can of 50 cl at 5.6%. Not really a Bock style beer at all, but as far as I know I've never tried a beer from Portugal, so here goes. It's not been for sale for a while though, they're gonna stop selling it. I managed to get a can that's been hiding in a store, so best before date was March of 2005...
How is it that you can find all these Belgian beers over there, and I can't even find all of them over here!?gnoff schrieb:4) Pater Leuven Tripel - Belgium, bottle of 33 cl at 8%. I'm pretty damn sure I'll like that one.
5) Kriek Girardin 1882 - Belgium, bottle of 37.5 cl at 5%. I love some Kriek, and don't care so much for some, we'll see.
6) Hanssens Artisanaal Oude Gueuze - Belgium, bottle of 37.5 cl at 6%. Haven't tried that many Oude Gueuze before, still learning a lot about Lambic and Gueuze.
7) 3 fonteinen Oude Kriek - Belgium, bottle of 37.5 cl at 5%. See comments from number 5.
8) 3 fonteinen Oude Gueuze - Belgium, bottle of 37.5 cl at 6%. See comments from number 6.

Well, then I have one questioh. Do they sell Westvleteren there as well? 'Cause the only place here where I can buy them (apart from a cafe in Geel, but it's way too expensive) is in Westvleteren itself.gnoff schrieb:The big (only?) advantage of having a state monopoly of selling alcohol is that they want and have to arrange a large assortment to please most people.
I like it a lot because I get to try so many different beers from all over the world

BTW, Westvleteren is a trappist beer. One of the six in the whole world. (Westmalle, Rochefort, Orval, Chimey and Achel, although I thought that La Trappe from the Netherlands was a trappist as well)
