Last beer last night was a Swedish micro brewery x-mass beer.

I was quite drunk at that time though.

I can imagine.gnoff schrieb:Compared two from the same brewery tonight, never tried them before.
Hoegaarden Grand Cru
and
Hoegaarden De Verboden Vrucht
both from bottles of 33 cl and both at 8.5% vol.
I like Grand Cru, got a nice smell and taste to it. A bit dangerous though, because not a big after taste, could easily be misstaken for a beer at 5%.
De Verboden Vrucht does not have such nice smell and taste as the former, but it's not bad either. Got a nicer darker colour to it also. This one you can sort of taste the alcohol on though.
After these two I feel a bit tipsy

But today Inbev (the brewer) announced that the brewery in Hoegaaarden is going to be closed down, and that the entire production line is going to move to Jupile (Liege province, Belgium). This means, the end of Hoegaarden in Hoegaarden. I was already talking about Jupiler White. (or better Jupiler Blanche/WIt) But I guess that Inbev won't change the name of the Hoegaarden. They'd be stupid if they did so.
As far as I know, Hoegaarden will be brewed. Only no longer in Hoegaarden.gnoff schrieb:I read about it also.
Hopefully they won't change the Hoegaarden.
