Donington '88 ? Awesome !!

If there was ever One festival in time that I could have visited (for both the good and the bad) it would be Monsters of Rock Donington '88. Just Maiden alone headlining on the 7th Son tour but the entire lineup was fantastic.
I beg to differ.
The festival for me, was and still is Dynamo Open Air. And I'm fortunate to have been there. The first and only time Metallica was on a festival for just one day. (Monsters of Rock was a tour)

I have to say I agree. For me (and this is just my personal opinion) Donington is the true home of the metal festival, and MoR is always going to be the best for me. One day, no filler. Oh, AND you could take your own alcohol into the arena! :D

Not to take anything away from any other festivals, including Wacken. Time moves on and things change. As I've already said, I'm incredibly excited about Wacken.

For me it was 1998, when I was 12.
Ha, I can honestly say, I feel that was born at the best time for music. But again, this is totally personal - most people probably feel exactly the same about the music they grew up with. But I would not trade being a few years younger for the joy of seeing bands like Guns n Roses, Metallica and Anthrax in their early days.
