That was fine,6.25 each. We were in the festival area and setting up out tent(in darkness) within 30 mins.

25 €??? Great!!! That's what I have to pay for a taxi from Madrid to my house (15 km) at 4 or 5 o'clock in the morning!! Next year I'll consider the taxi option if I go to Wacken via Hamburg-Itzehoe

cheers Shiny for the info.
i will prob. be going to Wacken on my own next year (which kinda sucks ....but i will meet up with a lot of crazy forum ppl )

i have been to Hamburg airport and the main train station (hauptbanhoff) 3 times now so that part will be no problem
i just didnt know much about getting to Itzehoe and on to Wacken .....sounds like it will be no problem ...and that taxi from Itzehoe to Wacken is cheaper than i thought ....cool and i am sure there will be plenty of ppl to share it with

Sheeeit...the Argon bus trip may be torture but it sure does simplify matters. Me thinks I'll just do that again next year...though the hotel was an absolute waste.

Why is it that Argon refuses to acknowledge that there's a third day to the festival too? Past two years when I was considering going to Wacken, I noticed that...

Taxi.

Yeah Itzahoe station - Wacken taxi journey cost us 25e.
Its a very fast trip there too, due to deadly German roads and
thus a motorway most of the way there.:)

We camped in campsite D or something for the 3 days and it was great. It is right beside the festival area so we could go back to our tent with stuff at any time.

The final night of the festival was fucked up though!

Everyone was growling all around the campsite!
I think the growling finally stopped at around 5am. :)
hehe

The problem with a hotel is that you had no time to spend in it, between the time the last band plays and the first band starts the next morning, driving time notwithstanding. Why even bother then?

Camping = metal
