Agree, altough Rammstein is a great band it would probably draw a very rammsteiny crowd, as others have already noted.
I was amazed just how many different languages you'd hear spoken by vitisors through the course of a few hours; this is one helluva international gathering, all very friendly and humorous.
Oh, and ordered two tickets for 2019, wifey will join me this time. :D

And regarding bands wanted, did Testament play Wacken recently?

Trying to secure my ticket for next year. So
far my first attempt was denied. Called my
bank and was stuck on hold for a bit before
I could jump through all the security hoops.
Got the 'go-ahead' to purchase... denied
again! ¡¡Merde!! Third attempt... Looks like
it went through. Keeping my fimgers crossed!

Well you cannot expect much healthy food in a festival. What you could have done was to go to the Supermarket and buy some food there, it would have been a little better I guess.

For the toilets you just need to find a fresh one or squat on top of the pile :p

Edit:I just remembered that last year there was a shower camp/flushable toilets relatively close to my tent, way better than porta potty

Yeah, I didnt use those fucking disgusting toilets, I only used the flushable ones. But either way, there should be disinfectants at all toilets, 80k people and few or no options for clean hands is just.. way below par.

But the sound was the most disappointing thing for me and my friend. We went there to party and have a good time ofc, but mainly to see and HEAR our favorite bands. I couldnt even hear the epic guitar parts on Ora pro nobis Lucifer during the Behemoth show. Nergal even made a comment on it along the lines of "I hope you're enjoying the festival, despite the sound". And thats a disgrace for the self proclaimed best metal festival in the world.

We found that the best sound was at the WET stage; the metal battle, Backyard Babies, Sepultura and Gaahl's Wyrd was awesome. The metal disco kicked ass!

But Im not sure if Im going back to Wacken, for various reasons. The sound being one of them.

There wasn't any hands cleaning station ? Usually there is the fountain thingy that you pump water with your foot and you can clean your hands.

For the sound I guess it depends on where you're standing for the shows, I can't recall a moment where I thought the sound was awful. Maybe the wind has something to do with it too?
