I was quite close but it sounded like the wind blew the sound away. BummerSo... the ONLY band I saw today is Dimmu Borgir, and frankly, I'm not disappointed!
Strong as ever!
But... my festival starts in 3 days. (actually 4, but I take one day bonus)
Party-San Metal Open Air!
So we survived Wacken. Fun experience, but Im not sure if Im cut out for the festival lifestyle. I really missed some healthy food, and the sanitary situation was a disgrace if you ask me. There shouldve been more toilets with anti-bac sprays!
The thing that bummed me the most was the sound. I really thought the sound at the concerts would be better at the biggest metal festival in the world :/
But all in all a fun experience! We started our long drive back to northern Norway after I saw 3-4 Steel Panther songs, missed AE and Dimmu, sadly.
got home quite early, arrived around noon, while last year I arrived at 8pm. only packed my stuff about an hour earlier than last year.
What time did you leave? 5am in the morning?got home quite early, arrived around noon, while last year I arrived at 8pm. only packed my stuff about an hour earlier than last year.

Wow that went well!
Was there less people departing at the same time as you?
we were closer to the exit, and a bit earlier, so instead of taking 5 hours to get of the campgrounds it took us just about 5 minutes this time.
and since it was early there weren't any traffic jams on the autobahn.
Good for you, 5mins is really nice compared to 5hrs![]()
