Yeah. Great! Ever thought about the possibility that WACKEN also may celebrate the people (and bands) who MADE it big as it is today? Us? The first Generation? Hm??? And that Wacken may thank us? US? Hm?
*nerd*
Most of disappointed people only miss a few extreme headliners like those of the past years (Immortal, Emperor, Carcass, Morbid Angel, CC, Opeth, etc...)
I really don't get into RW, Saxon and that old 80s crap, but I see it pleases a lot of old-school fans, so that's ok.
But really, that line-up needs a few extreme headliners. No one can headline the black stage right now.
And the black stage did also a lot of good to WOA I guess, as well as foreigners who are not into german speed/power/callitwhateveryoulike metal.
edit : if I don't cancel, it will be my first WOA. But I remember 8 or 9 years ago, I began thinking about going, and every year, I postponed, having better things to do than 2000+ km to go.
By that time, WOA was really big compared to the rest, the only fest with such an international aura.
It's over now. Just a good fest amongst other. And this year the line-up (as it is right now) is no match for many other fests.
Despite the ticket price increase.
Despite the 20th anniversary hype THEY insisted on
