for a general overview

from one of the supermarkets in Wacken-Town Prices could change a bit, but not much.

In the shops on the festivalground, prices will be - of course - higher.

:D

meals on the festivalground from garlicbread (2,50€) to 7€ (Cheeseburger, Dampfschwein (no clue how to translate))

My son (he's 18) and I are doing a three week tour of northern Europe and start our journey on 7/22/15 - first stop Helsinki. We'll be staying in Barmstedt and driving to Wacken unless someone has any better advice.

No idea about Barmstedt, but if you need a guide in Helsinki, let me know :p

So yep, guess I'll introduce myself too, since I finally registered here!
I'm a 27 yr old gal from Finland. This will be my 3th Wacken - first was in 2006 and second 2008, so it's been a long time!
I actually wasn't supposed to come this year, but I accidentally heard that there's Dream Theater, Queensrÿche, Amorphis and UDO in same festival, so there really wasn't any options left. Had to buy the ticket and recruit someone to come with me. Luckily that was the easy part :p Couple of days later I had the ticket in my hand, and only then realized it's more than those 4 bands. This year Wacken has more bands that I want to see, than ever before.

I'm American (from Ohio) and know very little German so bear with me! Being at Wacken has been a bucket list item for me and is coming a reality next month! I'm turning 50 next week or as I like to call it, the second anniversary of my 25th birthday. My son (he's 18) and I are doing a three week tour of northern Europe and start our journey on 7/22/15 - first stop Helsinki. I'm a HUGE Avatar fan and have been listening to them for long time. I've seen them live several times and got to meet the whole band in Cleveland. Got a great pic of me and Johannes together. Very cool to see that two of our local bands are playing Wacken - Mushroomhead and Dead Iron. We also got to see Kvelertak play their first USA gig last year at Rock On The Range in Columbus, OH.

We're looking forward to the whole W.O.A. experience and meeting some other fellow metal heads! Can't wait! Danke, metal heads!

Welcome!

And have fun in Finland. :D How long are you gonna stay here?

welcome!

welcome to the forum!

I usually bring about 100 euro a day with me and end up spending about 50 euro a day.
beer prices might not be the same as last year and unfortunately I don't remember how expensive it actually was last year, I think 2,50 for a beer? (that's with the deposit for the cup not included)
food you can get from 2,50 to a whole lot more. you can always go to the local supermarket if you're really concerned about your budget.

Hey man, sorry for my (very) late reply!

Thank you very much for the info!
2.50 - 3 Euros seems a decent price, right?

But yeah, my idea is to bring a bit of my own booze ;)

Cheers!

Hello :D
I was thinking the same thing so thanks for asking :p

I was planning to take about 100 for each day aswell just encase, as im terrible for buying clothes and silly things :ugly:

The main question is how much is cake? and please say they have some sort of pudding :p:D

No worries! ;)

Yeah, it seems that 100 Euros/day would do.
Apart from the stuff that you might buy and keep it on your tent.

Cheers! \m/
