Hello to everyone.
My name is Barry. I've been on the forum a while but I am not much of a poser. I mean poster, I'm not much of a poster
I was at Wacken in 2013 and 2014 and I am very much looking forward to being at Wacken 2015. It is one of the main things that I think about. Apart from dreaming my dreamy dreams.
I am happy to talk to everyone. So rock on \m/

Do im guessing due to where your from you have been to Download/Bloodstock. Therefore would you say Wacken is similar size to Download? But with the crowed of Bloodstock?
(this year is my first time)

As a Derbyshire man I have been to Bloodstock.
But Wacken is the king of festivals. It is the ne plus ultra
It is such an incredibly organised festival I am sure you will be impressed. It's a great experience that is made possible by all the people involved. Even the villagers, who should hate heavy metal, love the whole experience.
Welcome stranger with the Virgin Steele-inspired nick! You appear familiar, but from that photo I can't recognize you...
Jasper (the Wacken employee who has the tough task to deal with us loonies in the forum) just posted this air pic from Wacken 2013, which gives you a decent idea of its size (which hasn't changed since).
This air pic is great because it matches quite well with the camp ground map (this one is from 2014, new one will be out shortly before the festival):
Yeah im still confused to where the entrance is haha
So wheres the best place to camp/party?
The maps didn't really help me... It seems really confusing. I'm thankful the bus stopped right in front of the entrance basically so I didn't get lost.
And the first night me and my friend were still pretty lost and we didn't know how to walk to our tent so AP "had" to walk us there Well it was dark so that was part of the reason it was hard to find there...
Yeah i noticed the bus stops outside which i was glad about too
Hahaha i think i may have to do the same and get someone to show us/look out for us
