No, seriously, I was there once - in Paris(the city damnit!). I admit, this was maybe a total different experience to the not-overcrowded regions - but it was a drinking-tour anyways.

Saxon where leading the nwobhm genre for many years, bands like saxon/priest/maiden/motorhead you can thank them for creating bands like slayer, testament, pantera etc etc and you can thank those kinda bands for your precious death metal so by rights you need to thank saxon that you have DM!!!!! I expect you on your knee's during their whole set praying to them!!!

I have no problem with classical heavy metal: I'm a huge fan of King Diamond, I enjoyed Iron Maden show last year, I fuckin' love Motorhead and I even like some of Running Wild stuff - gonna check them out live. But Saxon... I just got borred, no catchy tunes, no awesome singalong parts, no charismatic vocals. Nothing, just an old people doing very mediocre music...

last year there were Iron Maiden, this year Motorhead (one of the few cats I'm happy to get), so I am sorry if I'm not "kneeling" in front of them

oh and the volvo ferrari thing is basically well iron maiden are so big globally (not just in the metal scene either) that you can only really compare them to bands like U2 or Queen! they sell those kind of number of records and concert tickets! so really you can't compare anyone but U2 or Queen to Iron Maiden... they've got a 757 private plane!!!!!

Thats beyond rock stardom!

Sorry but even metallica can't compete! (maybe in usa an parts of europe but globally Maiden are indescribebly HUGE!
