You never tried Belgian cherry beer, did you?Lady_Wolf schrieb:Brahma? Blegh! I really don't like that.
What I a dislike are those beers with a flavor, like lemon, cherry or raspberry beer.. Yuck!
I want beer that tastes like beer...

THAT stuff is awesome, believe me.
No artificial flavors, no crap. Pure cherry juice.... mmm!
(I forgot the actual brand that I had here @ the "Medieval market", shame on me. )
As for beer with artificial flavors therein, I can but agree...
The one I had, was for sure NOT Bellevue ....something ending with "mann", I am too lazy to go to the basement now and check the empty bottlesLady_Wolf schrieb:I only know that Belgian Kriek stuff, by Bellevue.
I don't know if that is what you mean, but it was really horrible. I think the guy who made it, had a beer wile brewing, and that is why they call it beer.

"Kriek", as far as I can understand, is Flemish (or whichever language it is) for "Cherry" ....perhaps Quark can clarify this?
Kriek is not Dutch/Flemisch (= the same language) for cherry. That'd be "kers"Huldran schrieb:The one I had, was for sure NOT Bellevue ....something ending with "mann", I am too lazy to go to the basement now and check the empty bottles

But Kriek is a cherry sort which can be found near the river "de Zenne" near Brussels. It's got a different kind of taste, and it's very suited to brew beer with. Note that there is no French word for Kriek either, the French also call it Kriek.
And I like Kriek.

Not as much hops as a Pils from the north of Germany but much better as the crap from the nearby Sauerland like Krombacher, Warsteiner or *üüüääärgs* Veltins.
Now it´s Newcastle Brown Ale. Okay, but why don´t we get some real good stuff from Englands north here like Samuel Smith or Wylam....
