On friday I´ll travel to Scotland an I will have lots of great ales, stouts and all the other dark stuff they brew there.

1795 Dark (Czech)

Ålö Ale (Swedish micro brew)

Left Hand Sawtooth Ale (American)

Amber Color with a big white head. Hopy scent and a very bitter taste. Long bitter after taste.

Ridgeway IPA (UK)

Bottle at "Karlson’s Garage & Bar" in Gothenburg, Sweden on February 9, 2006.

Deep golden color and a nice white head. Very hoppy and fresh scent. Hoppy taste with a nice long after taste.
Yeast sediment in the bottom of the bottle.

Beer of today:

Wild Blueberry Wheat Ale (USA)

Very pale/light color. Extremely blueberry scent that I felt as the bottle opened 50 cm from me.
Very blueberry taste and verry little bitterness.

Fun in the beginning, gets too much after half the beer.

Very fruity scent and a heavy fruity taste.

Had some beers tonight:

Poseidon Porter from the Swedish micro brewery Dugges in Mölndal.
Had a pint draught at 4:ans gamla ölkällare in Kungälv outside of Gothenburg.

Next had five different samples (for free, whohoo :cool)) from an import company called Invicta:

1. Blackened Voodoo Lager on bottle 5.2%, Dixie brewing company (USA)

2. Denver Pale Ale on bottle 5.4%, Great divide brewing company (USA)

3. Sierra Nevada Celebration on bottle (USA)

4. Sierra Nevada Porter on bottle (USA)

5. Edition 2005 from the Unibroue brewery in Canada on bottle 10%


Next went to the Delirium Café where I tried two beers:

A: Rhenania Alt, draught 0.4 liters (my first ever Alt that I know of), Germany

B: Zywiec Porter on bottle 9.5% (Poland)



Walked by the Bishops Arms on Västra Hamngatan and had two last beers:

1. Meantime chocolate on bottle 6.5% (UK)

2. Kasteel Bier Bruin on bottle 11% (Belgium)



Also had a whisky, a Scotch signle malt Caol Ila, 1991 from Symposion, nice!
