My boyfriend just got his Galaxy 4 and loves it, he can't stop talking about it and how much better it is than his Galaxy 3 - sorry if you aren't talking about the same thing you can just ignore me :p

so kris, how big is the difference between an S3 and an S4?
just checking because it's your workfield and I'm probably gonna buy one of those tonight :p

Get a Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD. :D If you want a powerful smartphone with enough battery life to last a heavy user two full days. Seriously, if I could get a new smartphone right now I'd pick this one.

If you want a top-of-the-line possibly-more-powerful-than-necessary smartphone, I'd go with the HTC One over the S4.

As far as S3 vs S4: there are some pretty big differences. The S4 has a quad core processor vs the S3's dual core, a better camera, and loads upon loads of features (whether or not they're actually useful is up to you :D). But the S3 is still a perfectly good smartphone that will be fast enough for just about anyone - it's got the same processor as mine so I can definitely say it's more than good enough. Overall I'd say it depends on your budget. If you can afford the S4 relatively easily, go for it. If not, the S3 is still a great phone.

Really big smartphone. :D It's a good one, depending on whether or not you like the size.

no, that's the same thing :)

did he have a 3 before?
Yeah.

He does event support and has been using his phone for everything - including VPN to his office and remote access to client computers. It also has a battery saver feature which he says allows him to go for the whole day doing his job without having to recharge.

The camera is also GREAT. We have been testing it and it compares to our regular camera in quality. You can also take pictures of yourself and see what you are shooting (which is great for us!)

I think smartphones have hit a point of diminishing returns. They've already got quad core processors - there's not a whole lot they can do to make it significantly faster. Not like they used to at least. Hopefully now they'll focus on things like battery life and durability.

Ahh frustration at work. I hate it when I ask a coworker to help someone because I'm already with someone and they don't, and the customer gets mad at me over it and complains about waiting half an hour (really 10mins).

Not that I blame her for not wanting to wait 10mins but people are generally more understanding and realize it wasn't my fault.
