Yea, that's not good. But if you ever took up guitar it would be drastically easier :)

I remember when I first started playing bass, I didn't like it much at all since it hurt my fingers... but after awhile I got used to it...
still can't actually play bass really, but at least my fingers don't hurt when I try anymore :D

yea the Scion fest here was pretty nice too, though unfortunately still a bit too much 'American' metal as far as a lot of hardcore mixed in...
dunno either... you might want to find someone to ask about that, like the organizers of some other festival, before you try... would be cool though :D

We have the New England Metal and Hardcore fest, but at this point in time they should just remove "Metal" from the name seeing it's all hardcore now pretty much.

If I can find somebody to talk to concerning it it'd be great. I think trying would be fun, even if it doesn't work out.

I'm actually playing guitar, but it has really soft strings. I know my ex is playing on a guitar with metal strings and he can't feel anything in his fingertips anymore. That's why I'm afraid of it

That's just because the skin gets thicker, the nerve endings I don't think go anywhere. If he were to stop and the callus went away he'd be able to feel again. I used to play guitar and lost the feeling in my fingers, I can feel fine now.

Yea, it's getting kind of pathetic the way things seem to be going. I wish it'd come back a bit.

I wonder where I'd even look to find out how to do something like that.

well on one hand, I think we might be at the beginning of a new wave of thrash [Warbringer, Bonded by Blood, Evil Army, etc] but yea, otherwise it sucks...
dunno either... just contact the organizer of some festival and see if they'll help :p otherwise I guess you'd just have to contact the bands and convince them to play, book the venue, and hope the money brought in by the fans is enough to pay the bands, venue, and other costs
no idea though :D
