well, just saying![]()
No it is...like with what Kris was saying, we are the center of the world. We have been raised to think that Russians and Arabs are our enemies too.

Not something to be proud of.
BTW He was Austrian. (I don't want to mention his name)

you'd think, but not necessarily...
like I bet kids in some random African country learn plenty about the US, but there's not really anything to gain on our part by teaching us about them, if they haven't done anything historically significant
not to say they're not important, though.
Well, for that part, you didn't miss anything!
Frankly, I was quite annoyed by it. But that "only" took half an hour.

I don't think that's something to discuss about... everyone knowsAre you? (the center of the world)No it is...like with what Kris was saying, we are the center of the world. We have been raised to think that Russians and Arabs are our enemies too.
That's what the rolleyes was for. It was sarcastically
I know... you don't have to tell ME... I am German, I've had Hitler in class for about... always...

somewhat off topic, but I was actually kind of annoyed at the prayer and constant mention of God at Obama's inauguration...
I mean, you know me... I'm religious and all, maybe even more so than Obama, but I'm not going around talking about it all the time to you guys, much less in such a public situation

my brother actually asked me why I wanted to go to Germany, because of WWII...![]()
x2...Well i meant it sarcastically...unless you are saying that yeah, we really are, and that is true to the extent that we have our fingers in more people's business than anyone else, but otherwise, no way!

Disagree here.
And by following reason(s):
The most important relations the US have is with the EC/Europe.
They were/are their allies in (almost) everything, though Europe has its own opinion in many cases.
And it broathens their horizon. Knowledge is power!
