so wich linux are you using?
I know for instance that ubuntu linux installed all of it automagicly when I installed it from a CD.
And that was years ago already.

I tried Xubuntu earlier, but I didn't like that one so much. And wireless didn't work on it either.

xubuntu only uses a differend GUI (graphical user interface) so if a driver isn't support be the install disc it won't change anything.

did you already try if you could get it via the apt-get system?
