me like .. but what is it :p:D

It's a spiky hammer about to fall and destroy a house. What else? :o:D

yeah i saw that .. he says he was doing them a favor by showing them that their security is weak .. but i thought it was stupid

Dunno, don't think so. I was reading in the thread where he was talking about it [not the whole thing, so maybe I missed something] and he seemed like a good guy with good intentions. Apparently he tried to tell them about it via mail before doing it, and they wouldn't listen. So personally I hope it will make them fix it.

I don't have faith in such people.
After all, helping though crime (unless by written statement which is not the case) gives me 2nd thoughts. What data could he enter? What has he done with them? Has he saved them for further use after all this is over? Has he really given all details, or left something "open" for himself?

And besides that, he's bragging about it, thus he's got no sympathy on my side. Hacking = breaking and entering, and that, my sweet Kris, is against the law here. This also concerns computer crimes.

You could be right, and yea I know it's a crime. Still though, from what I've seen he didn't have any bad intentions, and when sending mails didn't help, he only did what he felt he had to. As far as bragging, well I haven't seen enough I guess, because it doesn't seem to me like he was. [But I'm reading though it again and the whole thing so]

He could've called, take a phone and dial +49 441 xxxxxxx (Oldenburg)
Ingo's number can be found on the Wacken site.

But apparently he thought that was toooo expensive.

He's (unfortunately) cleared from any legal actions. Shame.

Well, calling is expensive...

And, well, you have the right to your opinion I guess. But personally I'm glad he was cleared.

So the expenses are on someone else's now. That's cheap!

I'm not!

The law is the law. Hacking is breaking & entering.
And by my knowledge this is still illegal.
so did he do something with the webpage or something?

He won't tell of course. He's cleared by now, but I assume he has not changed anything, the question remains: what has he collected? And was he honest about EVERYTHING?

Doubts....

Having doubts is justifiable, I guess.

But yes, illegal, sure. But if say [somehow, hypothetically of course] your family was poor, homeless, starving to death, and you were out of work. And the only way you could think of to help them was from stealing food from stores. Would you just let them die or do the only thing you could?

Same thing in my opinion. Less serious, obviously, but he felt he couldn't do anything else.

"eens een dief, altijd een dief"
I can understand he got mad with you. This is a really insulting remark.
yeah i agree .. it was a stupid thing and he seemed to be proud of himself for doing it ..

some people are just lame..
Did you even read the thread about it? Inform yourself before you judge people.

he's not bragging about it, he's just explaining his intentions. And as Kris said, he tried to mail the people before but they wouldn't listen. In my opinion his actions weren't any condemnable. He didn't damage anything, he only made a temporary remark. Rather be glad he shows you the danger instead of having someone that actually screws up everything.
He's a person that has more knowledge about a certain issue, than others do and wanted to help understand. Shame on your for cursing him like that...

I wouldn't have called either, I can understand that really.

So what? He didn't do any damage. There's people on tv that steal people's wallets and give then give them back to show them how easily they could get rob. Throw them into prison

You're being ridiculous

He didn't do anything... just posted something that looked like news but it redirected to an image that said like, "HACKED... hey Admins, hope this will wake you up to look at your security".

He even added a little pink disclaimer, to please people that thought making the remark pink and glittering would have rocked :p I think he's a cool dude
