150K Before WOA 2010

By the way,

Don't be suprised if I disappear again for the duration of January. I joined something called JaNoWriMo. For those who don't know, it's a variation of a site called NaNoWriMo where you have a goal to write a 50,000 word novel in 1 month. (NaNo takes place each November, this one takes place each January)

I've never actually written anything before but still, I atleast want to try.

I'm coming up with an outline for the plot right now. At first I thought I'd have trouble expanding the plot to be atleast 50k words but by the way things are going, I won't have any problems at all. I have a 2.2k word count for the outline of the plot so far, and I only just got to the beginning of the main plot!

Needless to say, this thing is going to be LONG.

I'm going to end up showing up on here every once in a while though.

(I also joined something called WriYe, where you set your own word count goal for the year. I chose 250k so I can take my time. (About 15k per month and 50k each for the months of January and November.)

There are actually people who are aiming for 1,000,000 words for the year. Can you believe it? Then of course there's someone who managed to write 1m words in a month..

AHHH, the laptop just overheated. I probably lost about 800 words since I forgot to save.. (I'm on a desktop computer at the same time, because the laptop doesn't have internet access at the moment.)

Sounds cool. :] A friend of mine did the November one... she finished her book, though I dunno if it was in November or not It was a couple years ago though, haven't talked to her lately, wonder if she got it published.

Anyway, good luck, and if you need some help, let me know. :] I've done some writing myself a bit.

Okay, it turns out it didn't overheat. It just chose to unplug itself without me noticing until the battery died in it.

Haha, well it's probably going to be really bad since it's only my first. Maybe when I get a little better at writing I'll share 1 (only if I like the way it turns out though which may or may not happen since I happen to be a prefectionist..) Plus, I'm shy when it comes to showing things to people, no matter who they are.

No one in my house is allowed to look at my drawings.

I guess it's because my art is something personal to me. Same with writing. *Shrug*

Dunno... knowing me, I'll get one or two chapters into it and get bored. That's what happens to every book I start. Got one of my first ones to like chapter 13 but then decided it was crap and deleted it. But it was, pretty much.

My thing is, I don't like to go into the details of things so much as getting straight to the point. So I always have difficulty with lengths of papers and essays and etc because I can answer the question in a paragraph, but it's a 2-5 page paper.

Yea I know the feeling... I don't like people to hear me sing or play keyboard. Drawing and writing though isn't so much of a problem. Since it feels good when people say I did a good job.

But you'll get over it... start showing it to me and I can help you along the way. :]

i think u should try it .. and if u dont complete it .. just leave it and dont delete it ... u never know .. one day u might come back to it and complete it ..

Probably not... I'm horrible at finishing things I started. Either I get it done, or I get bored and decide it was a stupid idea in the first place and delete it.
