It was so fucking hot today!

it's fricken hot and humid here, just walking outside is horrible...
pretty much how it was when I left, but I'm not used to it anymore after the nice European temperatures
also find it funny how I'm shivering to death in European nights and here I'm sweating just walking from the car to the door

and btw, I'm alive and back in LA. and apparently the internet here works, which is more than I can say for my laptop unfortunately can't connect anywhere

It was worth the trip. I have to say that Saxon kicked ass !!! No lie, just awesome. Really surprised me.
I heard somebody hit the guitarist for Cradle of Filth with something in the head and nearly knocked him out cold....the cut their set short. I didn't see it, I was at the tent drinking.

I got a guitar pick from Saxon
and didn't see Cradle either, why bother

I bet Kreator where great, they just completely killed at WOA last year!

I had just seen them here on the Hordes of Chaos tour, and it was same setlist just a little shorter. Same stage banter and everything.

but they were good.

*agrees* a bit boring, repetitive minus some songs, but the crowd's energy plus me loving the songs pretty much sold it for me.

done reading back, that was way easier than before fortunately

but anyway. band again tomorrow and Saturday, so far it's good... hadn't played xylophone/marimba/etc for over a year, but when I started again the other day it was almost like I never stopped. now I have most of the music we have so far memorized, almost as much as the others, so even though I missed like 3-4 days, it didn't even matter. good thing I learn fast

and otherwise I like it... still lots of silly stuff like drumline people acting out a slow motion home run during a certain slowish tune, band directors riding through the halls on bikes, and general randomness that doesn't stop rehearsal for 10mins like in high school because people were too immature to handle it.
but yea... also it's pretty relaxed, lots of breaks [usually 2hrs for lunch and dinner] and they randomly let us off 2hrs early both today and yesterday.
music's nice too... Carry On My Wayward Son by Kansas played with the full band sounds really awesome :]

but anyway. up at 5 tomorrow to be there by 7, or maybe earlier because I need to stop for gas. but at least I can blast Turisas [both albums now ] the whole way again

still wondering about my schedule...
maybe it would be good to take another class this semester so I don't have to next semester, then I have more time to work
but I don't want to kill myself

but working = money
which I need to save up for school next year, then I'll start saving for Europe
...it's going to make it work. maybe I'll find scholarships or so
either way I'll probably find someone at the school to talk to to help me out
