We can barely drink in any public places. If you are clearly overage, not making it obvious and not causing any trouble it is pretty easy to get away with it though.

It's hard to get used to coming home. I'm now used to being able to smoke on train platforms and drink on the train. If I did that here I'd have the shit kicked out of me by transport police then get fined.

Haha. I had that too. I was also talking slowly to people as though they didn't understand English properly. That got me some weird looks.

I kind of caught random Germans' bad English and had a rather strong accent upon returning home so people kept wanting to chat on the train home when I just wanted to snooze.
