being 18 and into my 20s in the 80s was really a good time, I had so much fun then. And many things were much better back then.

Yea... I like today's metal too though. Especially all the Viking stuff, and the new wave of black metal [aka not Satanic/Norwegian/death influenced black metal].

np: Skid Row - 18 and Life
It just takes time... and money, but finding each gem, one by one is the fun thing. If I was a multi millionaire and could just buy it all quickly, it would not be the same.

well that's the cool thing about Metal, there's been great music in the 70s, 80s, 90s and now. As you can tell, i am not just stuck in the 80s. I feel for most younger metal fans, it's hard to appreciate the classic stuff, and for some older fans, they stopped following new bands after the 80s.
So I have quite a lot to catch up on.
yeah i like some of today's metal .. but still the old stuff are much better![]()
Yea... it's also so broad though, like just the Big 4 thrash plus the Big 3 of Germany, that's a lot of albumsSo I have quite a lot to catch up on.

well some people, not you, think that the new Metal is just Death, Black and Metalcore, they don't know of all the great Thrash, Prog and Melodic Metal that is coming out now
