hehe
I'm trying to get somewhere with my band. obviously I won't rely on it, but that would be really cool, I'd say, if we made it.
Oh yes it would, it really would, just make sure it stays fun, no matter what.

I always read what I type as I go, so whatever typos I make get corrected pretty much instantly.
Oh of course not I would not do that, I'm just curious, and if he is, I'd like to encourage him to keep up the good work. My daughter is very good on her clarinet, thankfully not like me with guitar.

awesomeness. :]
I should as well, though tonight I forgot my reading glasses at home, and that does not help.
getting old sucks!
yea, very true. otherwise, whether or not we get anywhere, it was still worth trying for. :]
yeah it is, I would be thrilled if she wanted to learn yet another instrument, but I will not push her to do that.
exactly! To me music should be pleasureable for the listener and the artist, but the artist first, or what's the point.
My step son got married yesterday, I had to sit at one of the front tables at the reception and in the front row at the ceremony. I also had to wear a suit and tie. My wife wanted me to cut my hair for the wedding but I said no! That I would not do, I had to draw the line somewhere.![]()
she said just get a trim to shape it, neaten it up, but I did not. I don't trust hair cutters/stylists.
my parents kind of pushed me into music, actually
they had me take piano lessons from when I was 5-14 years old... I never liked them. but after I stopped the lessons, I started messing around with the keyboard on my own, teaching myself songs I liked. and it grew from there :]
same thing happened with band... they told me I had to join either band or orchestra in middle school, even though I wanted to do chorus. so I learned how to play all the percussion instruments. and I started to like it and get really good at it, too.
it worked out for me, somehow, but I wouldn't recommend forcing anyone into it![]()
Well I must say as a parent myself, I feel they did the right thing. In the long run you have and will benefit from it, your entire life in fact. As kids we don't want to do and try certain things, my daughter is like that. She protests when we "make" her do something new, but often she ends up liking and even loving it. She also wanted to take chorus, she loves to sing, but she had to take band, now she likes both. I promise you that you will be very glad that your parents pushed you to do that.
