Actually, I wish my parents would have pushed me to do more things back in my school years. They never really made me do more than just go to school and do my school work.
true, I'm glad.
that makes sense, though...
especially since my parents are both musical as well, and my mom's really talented at both flute and piano, I guess I had something coming![]()
I took band, played drums I miss playing drums, that I did have a natural knack for.
yes, be greatful, ( i know you are) it really is a gift, and something you can and will enjoy your entire life.
I should have one of my friends teach me drumset
that's the one thing they never taught the percussionists in band.
but then I could play drums, work on guitar as well, and practice bass a little... I'd have everything![]()
I did race motocross (motorcycles) Too bad I did not start even younger than I did, and too bad I stopped. I really miss it as well.
That is cool! yes you should, you sound well rounded. I'd like to try bass myself. I think it would be easier than guitar.
I'd love to buy a really good electronic drum kit, a good roland kit, that I could practice without agravating the neighbors. But those are hella expensive. the one I was looking at is $5000
I guess your interests just change over time.
yes true, though with motorcycles, life situations forced me to stay away from it for a long while. I had no choice but to be on hiatus from it. first it was where I lived, then being a parent of a very young child, then it was money, now it's my work schedule.
it is... I can even sound decent on bass
I bought one for myself a little over a year ago, and intended to learn it... I never really got too into it, but it was through that that I leared the general tunings, notes, etc. about guitars and basses. so it worked out :]
