Well I can't because I can't speak Swedish. And you don't really need Swedish in many parts of Finland. I wouldn't move to a place where they don't know how to speak Finnish...

And you know, that's the thing. They force us to study Swedish. Maybe if it wasn't mandatory more people would actually learn it and like studying it, unlike now. For example I really wanna learn German. It wouldn't be like that if I was forced into it.

Technically we're not meant to accumulate more than 5 working days. The idea is that when we take days off, the position is not covered by someone else, unlike annual leave. Money money money

But you can use them during your time here?

If I didn't have enough annual leave, I could have. I did so the last three holidays I booked. Back in 2013 (when at first I expected I would stay home), I accumulated 5 days of overtime on purpose and took an extra week off. 2014 I just used maybe 3 days which I needed to travel there and back. Last year I just used one because even though I was sure I had enough annual leave, I was off by one day. If payroll comes back and tells me I don't have enough leave for my time off, then I will do the same.

Not really actually!

If I have to go to a hospital here (= French) I have to find someone to translate for me. (typical terms I have NEVER heard of in Dutch, let alone in any foreign language!) And sometimes there's someone available, but many times it's bad luck! But on the other hand, my health insurance (which is a state affair) is in Dutch, but I have to go to Brussels every time I have a problem! (and not here in Charleroi)
Belgium has strickt language rules, though the constitution allows freedom of langauge use (NL, FR, DE)

Actually, it's clever! Luxemburg has 4 languages, 3 of them are the biggest. (French, German and Lëtzebuergésch, Portuguese is the 4th, and smallest)
Both French and German are used in public life, as the country has 2 German speaking sides. Northwest is German speaking Belgium (Sankt Vith and surroundings), East is Germany, but also 2 French sides, (Southwest is Belgium, south is Franch, and north is Belgium) Lëtzebueergésch is a language that is almost spoken everywhere, but it's not an official language in administration etc. It's one big mix. (and I actually like this linguistic mix)

I checked, Schiphol Plaza (the shopping part of the airport) has been evacuated. (@AP, zit daar ook 't station bij?)
One man has been arrested by the Royal Marechaussee (Dutch Militairy Police), who are also patroling with bullet proof vests, and heavilly armed.

Also Leiden Central Station was shortly partially evacuated. Soome tracks were closed. But that was a false alarm. One arrest.

yeah the station is right in the middle of schiphol plaza.

They went there for work way badk. And if ther's like 10,000 of them, that's a lot in Luxemburg.
