Thanks everyone. Someone was good enough to make a tribute page for him so we can find out funeral arrangements etc. Looks like it'll be in Sydney.

I plan to. I was too upset to say anything yesterday but I'll give my supervisor a heads-up so I can take some time off to go down (once I know what's happening). With any luck, I can see other relatives /friends/family friends while I'm down there. I can't even remember the last time I was down there for more than 20 hours so I definitely owe a lot of people my time.

Sorry to kill the mood of this thread

Also, now I have a summer cold. We lost power just before I went to bed last night, so I had the fan turned on (facing directly on me) ready for when the power came on. It was 28C in my room when I went to bed, even with the window open. I woke up a couple of hours later feeling kind of cold and with a sore throat. Yep, got the power back
