Yeah, I work full time. The arrangement is that we work 40 hours a week and get paid for 38 hours, then one day every 4 weeks we can have a day off and get paid as normal. We can have up to 38 hours of unpaid hours before we have to use them up. That's how I got away with having a 5 week holiday this year We are entitled to 4 weeks of paid holidays a year, but if we don't use them they can carry over for one more year...and that's how I got away with 7 week holidays in 2010 and 2012
Good Morning everyone
Oh good! That's a relief. I actually tend to prefer external mice for laptops.
Doing fine, stressed my back a little with some weights on Tuesday night so its a bit stiff now. How's your day gone (since it's almost over for you)?
Here I work 8 hours/day and get paid for 7.5 (they do not pay for 1/2 hour lunch) I also don't get vacation, benefits or paid sick days. If I want to take days off I don't get paid.
I'm off. See you tomorrow
Besides, if I got a promotion, a position would have to become available, and I'd have to apply for it. I'm at a level 3 now, so a level 4 would be a supervisor...no thank you
I get 26 paid holidays a month but I can never use all of them at once because there aren't enough people in my team to cover for a long continuous absence, so my manager would never approve of a leave of more than 6-8 days at a stretch.
Tell me, who's your boss! I want that too!
I get paid for taking vacation! (as the working month here has 20 to 22 days)
I guess you mean 26 paid holidays per YEAR!
*facepalm* of course, I meant 26 paid holidays per year. Silly me
Forget it then. I get the same here, but way less sunshine!
