Emirates allows 32kg. I'm always baffled when people manage to carry more than this.
Oh wow that's crazy if this is the standard
It's a lot of shit to carry around lol

Last year I .. unfortunately.. packed a Suitcase.......... that.. sucked.. So this year is the camping backpack, and Ikea bags for the flight to hold em.
Depends actually. That must've sucked indeed, a suitcase in the mud isn't the best
But I think you guys were lucky last year for mud/rain.
Depends actually.
Apart from the ground, that can indeed be sticky/muddy, it's sometimes easier to carry a backpack, especially if you're going by train! (or other means plus train)
If I remember correctly, the exit in Itzehoe station has stairs (and no lift/elevator), so carrying a backpack and having your (both) hands free is easier than having to carry a heavy suitcase, and "losing" both hands on carrying it!
But then again, it's been 5 years since I've been to Itzehoe, and it won't be for this year either! Unless a friend of mine (living nearby) happens to be in the neighbourhood. In that case, I'll have to take a train etc.
Mud wasn't an issue last year.. it was pushing around my gals wheelchair for a few days until we got something better to manage.. plus the suitcases and bags to carry.... lol..That must've sucked indeed, a suitcase in the mud isn't the best

If we have to believe this forecast, it's going to be very hot again!!! 30°C+.
Wrong TreadSpeaking of the weather.
If we have to believe this forecast, it's going to be very hot again!!! 30°C+.
But, it's just a forecast for 20 days. How much can we trust it?
Sorry Kuddi, this is the ENGLISH forum. Things do function differently here.Wrong Tread
Of course you are right.
OK OKSorry Kuddi, this is the ENGLISH forum. Things do function differently here.
We all collect everything into ONE thread. That way, it's WAY easier to find anything we need.
200e for a tent you can use only for few nights really is a lot
The last time I took a plane (2002!), KLM allowed 20kg per person plus hand luggage.
I think that hasn't changed since.
And that was a flight from Amsterdam (Schiphol) to Toronto (ON) (Pierson int.) and back.
And no more than 2 peaces. LooseCannon had to pay U$50/€45 for an extra bag, he took in 2010. (United)
