Just because of the elections?

Yes. Most of my facebook contacts who have been posting about it are more than a little upset about the election result...to the point where they've been saying "that's it, I'm leaving this country", "we're all fucked", "if you voted for them we can't be friends" and words to that effect, and implying that everyone who voted for them is incapable of making up their own mind; saying Rupert Murdoch told us how to vote. A small number are happy about it (all much older than me), and the rest telling us to stop whining about it on facebook and go out into the real world if they want things to change.

I'm thinking of getting a cheapo phone to bring around to places where I really don't want to lose/damage my expensive and awesome GS4. Places like the gym, pool/beach, and maybe concerts too. Mostly I wanted something where I can take my SIM card and put it in the new phone so I keep my number. And I want it to be able to play MP3s.

At first, I didn't think it was possible to find a phone like that, because my carrier doesn't use SIM cards except for LTE phones. But turns out there are used LTE phones as cheap as $25 on Ebay. :) Plus it takes microSD so I can have my music. I can even surf the internet and such - it's an ancient smartphone, but it's still a smartphone.

Well, I never agree with the result of any elections, as it's all one corrupt family anyways, regardless of which party you vote or don't vote. So....

And even if they left the country, they can't vote there, unless one (or 2) have a different nationality which happened to be the "new" country's one. So...

I've been, and still am in that position. I can't vote here.

That's what I thought when I went to the polls, and I still wasn't confident that I'd made the right choice :o I just really hope this government doesn't stuff things up too badly and that when they get voted out again, there'll be money in the kitty for the next party to spend. No-one is about "balancing the books" anymore :uff:
