Seems so.But when people were more active it was easier to write more stuff.
Would be nice anyway if there was more activity still nowadays
I just wish to see all the old people back really
but for that to happen, wacken probably needs to go back to it's roots and program lots of underground bands and cut out all the "non metal" stuff, like all the core bands and stuff.
I don't see that happening any time soon.
Not me tho.

Wacken would have to be a lot smaller so some people would come back. Some people just don't like it this big. And someone would fight you about that core question.
But yeah I think some stuff should be cut off. Tho there are lot of non-metal bands that play pretty much every year and some people would hate if they were cut off.
I think for most people the problem isn't really the size but the fact that wacken is so mainstream nowadays.
I remember 10 years ago, you only saw guys with long hair or who were bald, there was nothing in between, because that's not metal
pretty much everybody was either wearing a cut off jacket or a leather jacket (when it wasn't like a gazillion degrees). and so on and so on.
nowdays when you look around at wacken you might as well be in a random shoping mall because you will see "regular" people, who wear a metal shirt to fit in with the crowd, all over the place.
But about the hair, long hair or bald don't really suit everyone. But I do agree there are some people who don't seem "metal" at all. Then again I don't know if I do that much. But I'm sure a lot of people who look "normal" are as big metal fans as some with long hair and so on. Times are different.
