yeah, the Netherlands is on it's own when it comes to bicycle infrastructure.
That's because you use a bike to go from point A to point B, whereas here, you take a bike to go from point A to point A. I.e. in Belgium, it's mostly recreational use.

looks like I'll be going to see my friends baby son for the first time this Saturday. I hope they like my gift![]()

do they manage to sound the same live

I stopped riding a bike.
For one because apparently I'm not allowed to do so here. (didn't know that!) but mostly, because Belgian infrastructure isn't made for bikes at all. So you'd have to drive on the same lane as all the cars do. And Belgian car drivers are NOT used to bikes on the road! (though near the Dutch border, you see that they keep an eye on them, but the further you go into the country, the less they do)

Yeah I think so. They certainly made good use of the limited space and were pretty amusing![]()

Oh man, sounds just like Australia![]()

except Belgium does have normal christmas weather![]()
Some guy drove in to me while I was waiting for a couple of cars to cross the road. Fortunately I managed to dive away about half a second before he hit me.
Which means, rain, and with a bit of luck, snow at the East Cantons. (German speaking Belgium)

Yeah. Just like over here![]()
That's possible, at least from my experiences from the last century. *knock knock*
One of the reasons I tend to dislike the modern day traffic more and more. People drive like crazy nowadays, always in a hurry, afraid to arrive 1 second too late.![]()
