As far as I understand it, it's okay to bring glass bottles of spirits onto the camp site, whether it's in your car or in your luggage. After all, nothing is checked at that stage. The only problem I can see is if you were trying to make your way to one of the stages with a glass bottle in hand. But they do have bins right next to these checkpoints so that any offending items can be ditched.

:D

Oh awesome!! :D Yeah no thats alright I wouldn't take glass into the main arena any way, just for the camp site.
Any experience of sneaking beer into the main arena? :ugly:

When I make my way to the stage I normally just take my empty beer cup, and also you will get a flexible water container in your goodie bag, it's a really good idea to take it everywhere.

Why not.. No one care what is in that container. They will inspect you and your bag (if you have one) when you go infield and that's it!

Officially: NO!
If one of the security asks you to open it, to see what's in it, and (s)he smells alcohol, you will have the chance of having to throw it away. And since you NEED that container, given in your FULL METAL BAG, to bring in any other drinks (water and non sparkling drinks (preasure!)...
You can bring beer, as an alcoholic drink, in the Wacken mug.

Unofficially: See this.

You'll get your mug once you bought your first beer.

If sunny: a HAT. Trust me, it can be warm! And there is virtually NO shadow infields. (free water points enough though, to fill your container with)
A "banana" or waist bag, or whatever you call it, to put your valuables in it, and carry it on your person at all time!
