Guys, why do you discuss such bullshit like who listens to which metal band? Everyone prefers different bands... so be it.
Saying that someone is gay because he or she likes Epica or whatever isn't really "metal". If you don't like them, don't fucking listen or watch them. Period.

But seriously, bands like Axel Rudi Pell, Volbeat and GammaRay are the cheesiest acts on the Wacken list so far. They aren't even metal. Don't get me wrong - I have nothing against old veterans: I love Motorhead, I dig Maden, but Gamma Ray... I really tried listening to that. After fifth song I had feeling of wearing all pink and dancing with unicorns.
And fascism? Do you even know what does it mean?

Hey guys, if you wish to turn this thread into a "word fight", would you consider creating another one ?

This one is useful to complain about the suck-iness of this year's line-up, which can basically be sumed up in three sentences :
- not enought major acts
- very few extreme bands
- lack of communication

All this being objective when compared to previous edition.

This is where the line-up sucks. Considerations about whether Ramma Gay is a good metal band or not (guess what my opinion is...) can be done irl on the Wacken site.

ok ok, but extreme metal rules too, and in the past years, WOA wasn't so "close-minded" toward the more extreme bands...

so let's hope some good with the missing bands, but the more time passes, the less I am optimistic.

You can enjoy watching a Gamma ray show and next a Cannibal corpse one you know ...
By the past, Woa was well known for its eclectic character... The festival where you could see the most prominent bands of every kind of metal. We all know that the Orga are Heavy Metal fans, but you can enjoy differents styles as well and obviously, this year's line up is very very poor in terms of extreme metal.
