I don't have an official job title. I do a lot of computer administration and my boss is training me in quality engineering.

I don't drive yet so I don't have that problem. I really don't have the motivation to get a car because the public transit in my area is quite good.

ah sounds cool
lucky... I wish we had public transit like that... but all we have are school buses. :o it's better in Atlanta itself, but up here in the suburbs, you pretty much need a car.

Yea, it used to be like that in the old town I lived in. I'm kind of resistant too get a car seeing everywhere not accessible to public transit I tent to bike or walk to. I'm lazy, if I have a car I won't walk, causing me to get fat and that is never good. I live in the suburbs too. Just our local government does its job. Eventually I'll have to get a car, but I think I'll wait a bit for the prices of the fuel-efficient ones go down to less than 50-200% of my annual income.

sounds good... I don't have my own car, I just take my parents'... don't really plan on getting my own anytime soon, but I'm definately thinking about getting one of the fuel-efficient ones or something like that. otherwise I don't know cars at all :p

not sure they even allow bikes on the interstates
but either way, except for certain places that are close by, it's pretty much too far

Well, I used to go from Best to Eindhoven (and back) every day to get to work.
Bikes are not allowed on interstates/highways here either, but still I did the 20kms every day. (return)

But that was ages ago.

And it depends on how you look upon bikes.

I don't know either, I just know I'm not getting an American car. My dad and 3 coworkers all own a Ford. All but one of them keep ending up in the repair shop every 3-4 weeks for something going wrong.

I don't even have a license yet. I don't have much motivation to get one. I just drive illegally the few times I must drive, which really isn't very often. Only when my boyfriend goes to fall asleep at the wheel after travel or a show.

CO friendly, yes, but pedestrian friendly? Not always. As much as CO2 might be a problem, I'd say not being run over is the priority.

well as far as I know, stuff in general is closer together there than over here... buildings are built with the realization that almost everyone has a car and drives everywhere.

well I've got my license obviously, but mostly because my parents pushed me to get it  I didn't care too much either way
why's that, because those cars are generally more quiet?

My parents have been trying to get me to get it, but I'm just broke and so are they, they can't argue with that.

Well, as an example, my work is give or take 20 miles away. I could easily bike to it, but it's not a very pedestrian/biker friendly road. The cars are quieter too, but any individual with common sense knows to not ride in the middle of the road and assuming the person behind the wheel of the car can drive (which in my state, most cannot) it's fine.

yea that's true... in crowded areas like that, it's a bit more difficult...

It's not even crowded really, it's just there's really no enforcement to the speed limit and people are just lousy drivers in that area.

I don't even live in a city at all. People just drive like they're in one.

Massachusetts has the second worst drivers in the country according to data about a year ago. Second to the neighboring state Rhode Island. Here people cut you off and slow down.

But, I'm in need of some music new music, any suggestions? Preferably similar to Moonsorrow or Vreid.
