Rock Goddess verabschieden sich von Live Konzerten.

STATEMENT

With a very sad, heavy heart we have to announce we can’t continue in the present form of Rock Goddess. In this modern world our journey has been a little bit harder. Logistical and financial obstacles playing a big part. After the latest bout of bad luck getting covid in the camp, just before the major festival Barcelona RockFest, it was the straw that broke the camel’s back. So sadly we announce our retirement on the live circuit effective immediately.

We love our fans and appreciate everything you have done. ❤ Thank you to our Manager Richard Thompson, and his belief, dedication, and hard work. To our agent Martin Jarvis for his faith and understanding. To our father who started and managed Rock Goddess, without whom none of this would have been possible. To our family and friends who helped along the way since our reformation. And TO THE FANS who have supported through thick and thin. Thank you. Really. THANK YOU! Without you, this would not have been the amazing, wonderful experience that it has been. To each and every one of you, we love you and are eternally grateful.

We have a boxset of unreleased material and live work waiting on Universal approving (it’s been many months …). But we hope you will be interested. We hope it comes to fruition as there are some surprises on there!

Nur, weil einer mehr Ausfallserscheinungen hat als der andere, bei ernsthafter Abhängigkeit sind beide krank. Das zu akzeptieren und sich professionelle Hilfe zu suchen ist ein Zeichen der Stärke,nicht der Schwäche. Nur, weil in den 70ern und 80ern anders mit Abhängigkeit umgegangen wurde, heißt nicht, dass das besser war. In diesem Fall ganz im Gegenteil. Ich denke, einige der Großen aus dem Musikbusiness könnten noch leben, wenn sie ihre Sucht mit professioneller Hilfe bekämpft hätten. Und ja, ich weiß,die gab es da (zumindest in heutiger Form) leider nicht.

Gut, die ganzen 80er-Drogen-und-Suff-Eskapaden sind ja jetzt auch weniger Maßstab. Wenn man so die Geschichten von Mötley Crüe (so geil ihre Musik ist!) liest/hört, wird einem einfach nur schlecht, Bands, die das konsequent durchgezogen haben, wie zum Beispiel Piledriver, deren Sänger dann einfach mal während des Auftritts von der Bühne kotzt, werden heutzutage einfach mehr abgestraft.
Bei James Hetfield war es ja eher der Rückfall, der ihn dazu gebracht hat, wieder in den Entzug zu gehen; da habe ich großen Respekt vor, dass er da frühzeitig wieder die Reißleine gezogen hat, bevor er wieder komplett abstürzt.

Following guitarist E.V. Martel’s announcement that he will not be available next year, MANOWAR have invited metal shred legend Michael Angelo Batio to perform with them.

Martel announced on social media that he will take a break from touring for personal reasons. He added: “MANOWAR, their crew, along with all the Manowarriors around the world have been really great to me from the moment I came onboard. I could not be more thankful for the good times we have shared.”

"We love and respect E.V. and support his decision.” said Joey DeMaio. “He is a true brother, and we’ll forever share unforgettable memories like playing near the Arctic Circle or in Mexico for the first time!"

Batio, who will play his first shows with MANOWAR starting February 2023 is a veteran both in the studio and on stage.

Voted by Guitar One Magazine the "No. 1 Fastest Guitar Shredder of All Time" Chicago-native Batio is an accomplished musician in many genres, but is best known for his lightning fast metal performances. He is renowned the world over for his technical mastery of the fretboard, extremely fast picking and his invention, the "MAB Over Under" technique. His ability to play a double-necked and quad-necked guitar, using both hands has earned him the respect of fans and fellow musicians alike.

Hat Manowar aber etwas voraus: er war schonmal in Wacken
Damals 2007 im Metal Markt Zelt. Technisch wirklich gut, und weiß das auch zu präsentieren, wird sich rein vom Anspruch der Stücke tierisch langweilen.
Dachte immer, zumindest der Name wäre halbwegs bekannt.
Mal sehn, ob er seine Doppel- oder Vierer-Gitarre mitnehmen darf
