IMPORTANT-Credit cards problems/Metaltix?

with all the money this company makes (metaltix).. for them to not have the security watching out ,, something is wrong,.
i understand what youre saying but what if i were abroad right now with no money in my bank account cause it was wiped out im left screwed stranded somewhere.. just a big headache and BS

I don't get it either. It's complete negligence on their end. Especially for the time it's gone on (Kris got hit weeks ago, I got hit last week, now people are still getting hit). If there's a slight breach, those things can happen to any security, but they need to announce it ASAP and keep an eye on it.

That would be a problem, and if that ever did happen to me I would be going after the company for damages.

something on this scale takes A LOT of people to be involved cause the money is getting wired all over the place basically bouncing around from phony companies and stores or whatever and phony bank accounts until one day it gets thrown into one account anywhere in the world and then in someones hand right before the account (with a phony name) is closed up.. there has to be a whole network of people involved.
I saw a whole report on the show "60 Minutes" one time about the Nigerian scams and how complex yet successful they are. Granted there are alot of idiots out there who give out their info for stupid emails saying "youll get 1/3rd of 50,000,000$ if you just give us your bank account number
or how about the emails i used to get saying "Im Sadam's mistress and i have billions of dollars and im hiding in a cave somewhere but ill give you 90% of it if i can just use your account to put it in" LMAO!

Credit card scams can be either simple or complex. I know of a dude who used to pickpocket people, use their card and just be done with it. It was just some random high school kid, nothing complex or anything. He got arrested a few years ago for it.

This one looks like a hacker who sold the data.

someone def sold the data but there has to be a whole network linked up.. one person simply cannot make all these charges using one computer or one bank account. all the charges from what im hearing all have diff locations and names from all parts of the world.

It's not very difficult to find people to buy credit card numbers. There's a whole black market for them.

the CC i used to buy the WOA ticket this year was used to buy something for 1 USD from some online store like more than 10 days ago and my bank stopped it immediately and informed me .. but i wasn't aware of the metaltix thing at that time so i didnt think much of it .. but yesterday again i was informed by the bank that there was an attempt to use my second CC in the US (this card was used last year for the WOA tickets) .. again my bank was fast to stop the card.
now i have to get both cards replaced

Though he told me that his bank is looking into the matter atm.

yeah i was lucky to get away with no money losses .. thanks to my bank's strict protection system ..

Someone is using my card in Italy.

But that's stopped now. Cards are replaced now.

There's not much else they can do now except upgrade their security.
I've been bloody lucky. My bank gave me the benefit of the doubt and refunded the money immediately. Banks here are starting to adopt a policy of 'if we don't find that you contributed to or benefitted from the fraud the bank refunds you'. I've sent them the Metal Tix email so hopefully that proves my case.
