I´m afraid Lutschi is long gone :(

Roskitito, great to see you! :)
Yeah, some updates would be great - no need to hurry, it will take a while til my data base is working properly  :D

As is almost everyone. Have to open some exciting new threads tomorrow, with opinions so blatantly wrong that noone who reads them will be able to resist answering.

Hey Luci and mono!! Cool to have some action back to the forum.

I don't know any portuguese to scream at the Ratos, but I remember there was a thread were maybe Lustchi or Evenfiel wrote some interesting words. The thing is that I cannot find it because the Suchen function is completely in german!!
Those are two hints that tell me I need more language courses ;) :D

I'm coming back to the Forum once in a while, but I haven't been able to write something meaningful that could help to re-animate the forum, so I'll be waiting for your wonderful threads mono ;)

Speaking of good ol' mono's knowledge... I just saw Aguirre 2 weeks ago and I thought it was a great movie. Thanks for the tip!! :)

The thing is that it's in german because you haven't changed it to English yet :p

Well, I guess that would be a bit difficult to do if you don't understand German :(

okay guys, I´m just working on a complete relaunch of the Metal Travel Guide (for those who still don´t know it: www.metaltravelguide.com :D ).
The whole new thing will be data base-based, have a search function, country maps and stuff.
So please everybody, check the entries for your country - anything missing, still all data correct?
Besides I´d like to know what you think about the following layout:
www.metaltravelguide.com/travelguide-relaunched.jpg
Fonts and stuff are not 100% ready, but just in general - is it too little "METAL" or do you like it?
Thx for Feedback :)

First of all, I think the new layout is pretty cool!

Second: some changes:

-In Madrid: "Dr. Jekyll" is no longer a "recently opened pub". Maybe it was two years ago, when I sent you the info :p:D

-In Braunschweig: There's a pub called "Beat Club" in which Wednesday is the Metal Day. Opened till 4 or 5, and entrance is free. It's in Sack Strasse (yeah, I know it's a weird name :D). Someone told me that Wacken-Ingo was (or maybe is) one of the DJs there

Hey, Roskitoman - hope you're doing good. We're gonna watch the Ratos de Porao later in the evening. Anything nice we should scream at them you can think of? Oh, I just remembered, they're brazilian. Where's Lysitanno when you need him?

I went to a punk festival in Spain (2002, I think) mainly because Ratos de Porao played there, but one friend of mine fainted some minutes before the show (due to extreme hot weather), so I missed the show. And I just love RdP

I don't know portuguese, but they usually can understand spanish (as I can understand a bit of portuguese), so if you scream something like "puto gordo cabrón" the singer may understand it :D

Mmmmm... good answer Mr. Sodomite.... I guess I'll tweak some knobs and push some buttoms at the Kontrollzentrum, and see what happens... I guess it won't make too much difference if I change it to chinese mandarin right now ;) :D

EDIT: I just changed it to english :D Thanks Pablo!

Go to where it says "Einstellungen ändern", and at the bottom there are two options which say "Deutsch". Just change them to English :)

Actually, the new design looks pretty slick from what I can tell. Nothing wrong with a little bit more color...this isn't exclusively for grim kvlt black metal, after all, right? :)

Maps would be very, very helpful! Even something as simply as links to Mapquest or other map sites. That's particularly useful in a confusing city like, say, London.

Anyhow, changes for my area:

- Remove "The Depot" in Baltimore, Maryland - it's no longer a metal club. No sooner did I email that one to you then Mr. Whiskey decided to hightail it out to Austin, Texas, so no one's booking metal gigs there anymore.

- Add a website for "The Ottobar" in Baltimore - www.theottobar.com.

- Add "The Sidebar", also in Baltimore (218 E. Lexington Street - Baltimore, MD 21202 - 410-659-4130 - www.sidebartavern.com). "Neat little pub just a few city blocks from Baltimore's Inner Harbor. Like most venues in this area, it's mostly punk, with some metal shows as well. Great beer specials!"

Add two venues for Richmond, Virginia:

- The Nanci Raygun (929 West Grace Street - Richmond, Virginia 23220 - 804.353.4263 - www.nanciraygun.com). "Mostly a punk venue, the Nanci Raygun often hosts some killer underground metal shows as well."

- Alley Katz ( 10 Walnut Alley - Richmond, VA 23223 - 804.643.2816 - www.alleykatzrva.com). "Richmond's best live rock club. They do a little bit of everything here, metal included."

Of course, at the rate venues around here come and go, who knows how long any of these places are going to last? :(

Yes, I should send some updated information again...

and FYI Luci that latest club you have for Sydney Spectrum - NO METAL! scam artists!

They've had glam rock but no metal that our crowd would see. Plus I've finally seen their advertisement for the next month and NO METAL

I've told the metal bands that if they're going to falsely advertise, we should use that to our advantage :D

thanks a lot people :)
Actually it really might take a while til the new version is ready, just having too many other jobs to do :(

Umm, city maps... actually I was thinking about country maps, specially for countries like Germany and Spain where we have a lot of cities listed and not all of them are well-known.... but of course city maps would be useful too, I´ll think about a solution :) thx Scotty
