So In wasn't very happy...
Did do good things for my language skills at the time though :)

Even though now they might suck once more :D

Sounds like country folk alright. And any language you learned from them is probably wrong anyway, so it's best that you forgot it. :D Things like "them there" have no place in the English language.

We have a buch of good bands, here in France, but I don't know why they suffer of such a lack of support everywhere else. Bands like Loudblast, Mass Hysteria,Treponem Pal, kick ass.
Sadly, here the musicians haven't a real social recognition, and are paid with pizzas and french fries when they play in clubs !!

People always ask the same question : "Why don't they get a job and cut their hair ?"

:D Trust was the best, but it's parted ways for too long.

Yeah, that's strange, I've heard of Loudblast and Treponem Pal before, but never heard them have any kind of promotion. I just always thought it was weird that you always hear about metal bands from almost all the other European countries, but so few from France.

A lot of people here I know think that the French language is too "soft" for metal...I only have Trust's self-titled album, but it's enough to prove them wrong. :D

I think that TRUST is the exception. The english is definitely THE rock music language... and french is not the worst... when I listen to some spanish bands, singing in spanish... I leave the room :D

When R.J. Dio signs about dragons and the mighty sword of the Gods on the snowy mountain :)D), that rocks. When you listen to the same lyrics, sung in french, you want to cut your veins !!!

hehe, I don't know...German metal bands can sound pretty damn vicious when they want to. :D My friend Mike got visibly scared when I played the german version of "Ausgebombt" for him the other day, that was pretty funny.

Someone did tell me once that Trust actually sounded a lot wimpier when they tried to sing in English...go figure!

There's also that joke about how you can take a boring piece of text, like a traffic report...translate it into French, it sounds like a love poem. Translate it into German, it sounds like a declaration of war. Translate it into Italian, it sounds like a pasta recipe. You get the idea. :D
