Did anybody notice that drunk germans can only speak english?

I spoke with several germans during wacken, mostly during the night.
But they all just wanted to speak english and didn't wanted to switch back to German even after we told them that some of us could speak german.

Actually we pretty much only met Germans with a few Swedes in the mix. Everyone spoke English on one level or another ... and one of the German guys said that he "loved speaking English" and "loved America". Crazy boy. lol.

I think it's just the intrigue of hearing/speaking another language. I love hearing other languages - and to someone who isn't a native English speaker - probably the same goes for them.

I don't know about the "drunk talk tho"...as I probably was one of the few sober people at Wacken.

I got the important words - "bitte" "danke", wasser (mit gas), a few articles "der" and "am"

I noticed that, but i also noticed that Germans like to walk around nude when drunk, mostly men. I don't recall seeing any naked women, though I wish I did. Titten Raus!

Why would you ever want to be sober at Wacken?

Hah! Long story I guess - but the short of is it's been 18 year this coming Tuesday. I rather enjoy it. You can remind people what happened the night before.

We saw one naked dude - in the festival/food area. Well I guess he wasn't totally naked 'cause he had shoes on. LOL!!
