speaking of swedes...there are two swedish boys in my german class, one from stockholm and one from goteborg! i shall get more acquainted with them. Our teacher actually asked us what our favorite bands were to the entire class, and we had to respond "My favorite muzikgruppe ist...." I said Satyricon...one of the swedes said Rammstein, though i think he was joking, and the other one said somehting i've never heard of..*shrug*

The world's most famous connaiseur of beer, Michael Jackson (no, NOT the fake singer) (65) has passed away. Jackson was the first author who sold books about beer. His debut "The World Guide to Beer" appeared in 1977. In the end of the 80s he got gread fame by his TV series "The Beer Hunter" on Discovery Channel. Jackson was an authority on Belgian beers. From "The Great Beers of Belgium" more than 100,000 copies were sold.

I know that there is a white beer I want to try once. (Texan)
It's brewed by the same brewer as Hoegaarrden over here. (the man moved to Texas and "copied" his beer from Belgium over there)

But so far, apart from Budweiser, I had a good beer in NY.

So... I'm not pranking or s.t. like that, I'm just a bit sceptic, that's all.

There are tons and tons of awesome American beers, but I guess they might be hard to find depending on where you live.
