Hey
About to go to bed. Should have gone ages ago.
24 year old, and still kickin'
here in Brazil, young people are buying LP's again, I always bought some LPs(1 or 2 per month), because, there's some progressive rock milestones that are very hard to find in cds...
your Nephew is very fortunate!
I remember when I was a kid and my father took me to a building called "Galeria do Rock"(Rock Gallery), it's a place that have lots of rock music stores, and he gave me a list to search with him some LPs
I still buy lots of CDs, and LPs when I can get them cheap. I will never give up on LPs and CDs, and doubt I will get into buying MP3s.
yep...
MP3 is pratical, but it lacks on quality
rather grab a beer on the fridge and put that "old black cookie" to play in my stereo, it's an unique sound
it is easier to carry 100 mp3s around then 100 songs on tape or cd
Ahh you're still a young pup! My nephew is 15, I am bringing him to Wacken with me. That Galeria do rock sounds cool! I found a cool LP today, a band named Sad Iron.
Hell yes!
I have an ipod, I use it for work and it will be great to have on the long flights to Germany, but every song on it is from my CD collection. I do not buy MP3s. My music collection is very important to me. ANd yes MP3s do not sound as good as CPs or LPs due to the compression they use.
Sad Iron? never heard of, is it cool?
last time that I went to a market fair, I bought the two Warhorse(Deep Purple's old bassist: Nick Simper) albums and the Armageddon(Keith Relf's), 3 DAMN GOOD Lps, for the price of 1 cd
it is easier to carry 100 mp3s around then 100 songs on tape or cd
The only thing i have to worry about is this "CD cancer" we get here because of the humidity.. so I rip all my cds also, and leave them in a cupboard with a dehumidifier.. Rip them lossless, and re-burn... There is no compression..
